DRIVE THRU CHRISTMAS MARKET AT HISTORIC HOUSE

19 November 2020

Bannockburn House is set to host a drive thru Christmas market this year to help raise much needed funds for its community projects and restoration work.

The no-contact event will run on Saturday 12 December with locals given a morning or afternoon time slot to pick up their Christmas goodies by car. If Tier 4 restrictions remain in place, orders will be delivered locally instead.

Wooden Reindeer Events Manager Ross Caldwell said: “Our Christmas Fair is normally one of our most successful fundraising events and is eagerly anticipated by the local community.

“While it can’t go ahead as normal this year due to Covid-19, we wanted to do something to mark the festive period and spread some Christmas cheer whilst keeping everyone safe.

“Our volunteers will be busy baking Christmas cakes, making log reindeers and wreaths. We’ll also be selling kits for our online festive wreath making workshop for those who would like to make their own.”

Festive wreath makingAll items must be pre-ordered and paid for with a contactless card at pick up. Free local delivery will also be available to those without access to a car; and to all customers if Covid-19 restrictions are extended. Prices range from £5 for a box of cakes to £20 for the wreath making workshop.
