Bannockburn House ‘The Linen Room’ Shop
Our opening times
Current opening hours are a Wednesday from 11 – 1pm
October heralds the season of change, where the leaves turn from green to yellows, reds and orange
before falling, leaving bare branches to initiate winter.
Changes have also been happening at Bannockburn House, with ongoing conservation work restricting access to ever increasing areas of the House culminating in the Board taking the difficult decision to restrict event activity for the remainder of this year. Happily, for us, as one of the few rooms still available, the ‘Linen Room’ will continue to open on a Wednesday, 11-1pm.
We welcome three new volunteers to the Shop Team, Darren (who has also joined the Garden team), Kathleen and John. Darren is a keen knitter, amongst other interests (including, to my delight, crochet), with both Kathleen and John joining our other talented sewers – Kathleen has been busy creating lovely cushion covers on a wintery (surely it is too early for the ‘C’ word?) theme, whilst John, after visiting the shop and seeing our wealth of fabric, left with plenty to inspire him!
The team continue to create new items, such as cowls, scarves and bags, so do come and see us on a Wednesday, 11 – 1pm.
