General fundraising
Volunteers who would be interested taking on events to raise money for the project. This would involve organising and running fundraising events such as a Race Night, Bingo evening, raffles, afternoon teas, etc. Also, our main events (Easter, Summer and Christmas) we run throughout the year would require volunteers to organise, set up, run and tidy up.
Tour Guides
Our history team are always looking for volunteers to train as tour guides for the house. The team will provide you with all the information you need to take tours of the house and will give you the opportunity to shadow our current tour guides. Experience is not required and the likely frequency for you to do tours, at this present time, would be approximately once or twice per month.
Stewards for Paranormal Events
Bannockburn House sometimes offers Paranormal Groups the opportunity to hold events at the house. The events do not require much in the way of resources other than volunteer stewards on the night. The events usually run from around 7/8pm until 2/3am in the morning. We are looking for any volunteers who may wish to become a steward for these events. The likely frequency of volunteers being required to cover events would be approximately once per month.
Bannockburn House Gardening Team
The team is looking to take on more volunteers now there is much to be done in the gardens to achieve the master plan. Areas of the garden still need clearing up, grass needs to be cut, pathways identified for our visitors and much more.
Other Opportunities
We are always looking for other volunteers for various jobs including administration duties, tidying, operations and much more.
How to Volunteer
We have had a fantastic response to our calls for volunteers but there are so many jobs to be done, that we always need more. We need volunteers to be involved and help facilitate various events as stated above, if you can help please get in touch with the volunteer co-ordinator Ross on [email protected] to register your interest.
