Our three young men Martin, Matt and Matthew have had the opportunity of a lifetime after being photographed in a high society styled photoshoot by top photographers David Ho and Sandie Knudsen of Headshots Scotland at our historic house.
Developing New Skills
They have all been on 6 month employability placements with Bannockburn House funded by Kickstart and Stirling Council’s Young Person’s Guarantee. During the past few months they have gained extensive skills while working with our construction, garden and events teams and have gained new qualifications ranging from IOSH Managing Safely to First aid and even electrical training.
Looking to the future
We wanted them to be prepared for future employment opportunities so in addition to helping them prepare their CV’s we have also provided them with suits from Slater Menswear in Stirling and CEO Jim Bennett conducted mock interviews. Then was the real confidence booster… the GQ style photoshoot!
Incredible Experience
Previously unemployed, the three young men have been doing some hard graft to help restore the house and grounds. Martin Lindores said : “I have loved my time at Bannockburn House and have gained loads of new skills and made new friends. The experience of having David take my photo has been one of the highlights though”.
Edinburgh based Headshots Scotland’s clients are more commonly CEO’s, politicians and celebrities but David was delighted to be involved and take pictures of the three ambitious gentlemen “I had only recently found out about Bannockburn House as a photoshoot location and fell in love with its charm and history. When I was asked to take headshots of Matt, Martin and Matthew, I of course said yes, it’s an amazing project to be involved with”.
More opportunities
Volunteer coordinator Amanda Monaghan said “What an experience the three guys have had with us over the last 6 months. We hope we have provided them with enough support to help them find future employment opportunities and we hope we will also have more employability placements available at Bannockburn House over the next few months.”
