Bannockburn House on Tour – Japenese Garden at Cowden

6 May 2023

Visiting the Japanese Garden

Recently, Bannockburn House played host to team members from The Japanese Garden at Cowden for a tour of our House and Garden.

Last week we were given the opportunity to take part in a reciprocal visit to the Japanese Garden for a guided tour. Despite the weather being cold and windy our hosts gave us a warm welcome.
Our guide spoke about how the garden came to be, who was involved and how each aspect of the garden was designed and the symbolism of the different aspects.

After the tour, we were treated to refreshments and were shown how to create paper origami cranes.

We all enjoyed the visit and look forward to building on this partnership for the future.
