Bannockburn House Trust Member Census

Bannockburn House Trust is a Charity and is governed by a Constitution and the main body made up of members.

Throughout these years of ups, downs & lockdowns, we have had members

• Leave the area and no longer eligible for ordinary membership
• Have moved into the local area and were previously associates and are now eligible for ordinary membership
• In January 2025 we seen an increase in capture area
• Sadly we have also a few members that have now passed away.

With this in mind and the AGM only months away, we would like to conduct a census of the current membership and re-validate the membership list, specifically those ordinary members who are entitled to vote.

For those that are unaware the valid capture area for ordinary members is now within a 3 mile radius of Bannockburn House.

There was a lot of debate on this as well as some negative chatter but the basic principle is simple, with the boom in new housing locally, updating our constitution to continually add more postcodes would be an onerous task with a general meeting required for every change.

• • Is 16 years of age or over and eligible to vote

  • Resides permanently within a 3 mile radius of Bannockburn House (“The Community”).
  • Support the aims & objectives of Bannockburn House Trust

• An associate (non voting) member is defined as any person who :

• • Is 16 years of age or over

  • Resides outside a 3 mile radius of Bannockburn House (“The Community”).
  • Support the aims & objectives of Bannockburn House Trust

• A Junior (non voting) member is defined as any person who :

• • Is 12 years of age or more and under 16 years of age

  • Support the aims & objectives of Bannockburn House Trust
  • Parental consent may be required for applications from Juniors as individuals who are not part of an existing Ordinary or Associate members household.

Like many other organisations Bannockburn House Trust will be looking to provide all information from the next AGM onwards digitally via email and provision for members to vote online so please ensure you not only keep your email address up to date, but also that you ‘whitelist’ email from Bannockburn House Trust so that we do not end up in your spam folder. 

January 2025 Constitution changes

Bannockburn House Trust is a Charity and is governed by a Constitution which is a written statement that sets out our purpose, our structure and how we will operate.  

Earlier this year Bannockburn House Trust reviewed our Constitution to make sure it remained relevant and allowed the Trust to operate as effectively as possible.  

As a result of the review a few changes were suggested, and approved at a General Meeting that took place on the 16th of January 2025.
