Volunteer & Events Coordinator Contract Role
We are looking for a self-employed volunteer and events coordinator to work until June 2020. To assist with providing a pro-active programme of events and to organise and maintain our valuable bank of amazing volunteers.
Fee: £150-£175 per day, Approximately two days per week. Contract to June 2020.

Volunteer for Bannockburn House
Volunteers who would be interested taking on small local events to raise money for the repairs and maintenance of the great house. This would involve organising and running fundraising events such as a Race Night, Bingo evening, raffles, afternoon teas, etc. In fact, anything which could raise money and awareness of the house and which could be organised relatively easily and with minimal outlay.
Bannockburn Houses’ history team are looking for volunteers to train as tour guides for the house. The team will provide you with the basic information you need to take tours of the house and you will also have the opportunity to shadow our current tour guides. Experience is not required and the likely frequency for you to do tours, at this present time, would be approximately once or twice per month.
Stewards for Paranormal Events
Bannockburn House is currently in a position to offer various Paranormal Groups the opportunity to hold events at the house. The events do not require much in the way of resources other than Bannockburn Houses’ volunteer stewards on the night. The events usually run from around 7/8 pm until 2/3 in the morning. We are looking for any volunteers who may wish to become a steward for these events. The likely frequency of volunteers being required to cover events would be approximately once per month.
Bannockburn House Gardening Team
The team is looking to take on more volunteers now the growing season is nearly upon us and there is much to be done in the gardens. Areas of the garden still need clearing up, grass needs to be cut, pathways identified for our visitors and much, much more.
Other Opportunities for Willing and able Volunteers
The Trust is looking to provide picnic tables and benches on the lawns at the front and rear of the house. Yes we could buy them but they would not be bespoke to Bannockburn House and it would be wonderful if they could be made by the people from the local areas. Is there anyone who has the time and skills and would like to take on this responsibility.
How to Volunteer
We have had a fantastic response to our calls for volunteers but there are so many jobs to be done, that we always need more. We need volunteers to be involved and help facilitate various events as stated above, if you can help please get in touch with the volunteer co-ordinator Penny on [email protected] to register your interest (if you haven’t already done so).
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the people who came along to the volunteer open day on the 13th May 2017, which was really successful despite the rubbish weather!
Volunteer Open House
Every Wednesday between 10am and 2pm the wonderful Bannockburn house is open for people to pop in for a chat and a cuppa with the volunteers that are already involved.
